Product Description

Cholestyramine, a drug, is mainly used for type II hyperlipidemia, atherosclerosis, itching caused by liver cirrhosis and cholelithiasis.

Application

This product can be used for type Ⅱa hyperlipidemia and hypercholesterolemia. This product reduces plasma total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein concentrations, but has no effect on serum triglyceride concentrations or slightly increases them. Therefore, it is ineffective for those with elevated triglycerides alone. This product can also be used for itching caused by incomplete bile duct obstruction.
